Seattle’s Kid Smpl has been catching my ears quite a bit lately. He just does some lovely, laid back (50 BPM!) tunes that have a nice hook and some great layering.

I’m heading away from dubstep something heavy but I still have a lot of respect and admiration from the ambient dubstep thing that has been going on since burial. One of the finest purveyors recently of what I’ve seen (accurately) labelled Burialstep is Sorrow. He just does that sound very well and considering Burial’s minimal output it’s good to hear what might have been.
