I tried to find this for a while and stumbled across it so thank-you harmonyinatune.
It’s from Camille’s latest album Ilo Veyou (ie. I love you) and is the closing track. A fantastically surreal a cappella that’s quite hypnotic and I can’t stop listening to it.
If you crank it you can hear cricket’s and frogs in the background (esp. near the end) which I would love to think was the real deal…

So i must admit I’m more than a little happy that Hope Sandoval and David Roback have come back together for the first time since Among My Swan in 1996 (ahem). And come back together with form no less.
They were a soundtrack to my life for a good 8 years or so and it hasn’t been quite the same with Hope’s solo projects or collabs with the likes of the late Bert Jansch, Death in Vegas, the Chemical Bros, and Massive Attack (though the Burial remix of Paradise Circus is well worth listening to if you have half an hour) as they just didn’t have the quiet magic that Mazzy Star had.
So I’m happy. And in saying that, I’m a little sad as it takes me back to another life. But that’s what their music always did best I guess!
